Katie is an arts and cultural engagement strategist, creative producer and museum educator based in Northeast, Minneapolis.

She received her BA in English Literature and Strategic Communications and MA in Arts and Cultural Leadership from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She holds certificates from the National Art Educators Association School for Arts Leaders and the NextGen Museum Leadership Institute at Claremont Graduate University, CA. She leads the Public Engagement and Learning Division at the Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her research interests include the history and practice of museums, archives, and social memory.

Her independent work includes residential garden design, arts-based placemaking, and cultural strategy.
